We're so happy to again be invited to the Summerlin Art Walk for Spring 2012! The Summerlin Art Walk is the longest running juried art event in the Las Vegas Valley -- with this year being its 13th.
What we love best about it is that it's not just an event where you walk around and look at vendor booths (although there are nearly 100 there), but there's also entertainment going on all day long -- and they actually have a childrens art section where the kids can create all types of hands-on art projects.
With our love of creating art projects for kids, it's great to see an art event actually have something for the children to DO that's artistic!
We'll be again providing facepainting for the kids, and are looking forward to showing off some of our new designs that we've created since last year. It's all free... but lines may dictate how elaborate we can be with our work.
The Summerlin Art Walk is at 1970 Village Center Circle, Las Vegas, NV 89134, and runs from 10am-4pm both Saturday and Sunday, April 28th and 29th.

It's taken a bit, but we've realized that the best way to show people how fun art can be is to make art instruction easy and accessable!
We've been teaching for over 15 years in all types of media with the goal to make the instruction and techniques easy so that even the total beginner can be successful even with their first try -- and we've had great success with that all over the country.
...but something was missing.
We realized that there's a need to make art more social and fun. The traditional approach was to go to an art store and sign up for a class (or series), and then come back on some night, which might not be convenient, for these classes, oftentimes with a number of people you didn't know. There could be a lot of stress in that, and stress doesn't sit well with a beginning recreational artist. So we thought "How can we change that?"
And the answer was right there in front of us! Teach the classes that we've already had great success with at folks' locations of their choosing, whether at home, office, or wherever -- and have it be a social gathering! Have drinks, appetizers, or whatever, and have the art be the entertainment!
It's catching on, it's fun, and we're having a great time as this wave is growing.
